Student Testimonials:
Meet Your Professor: Bill Jack:
Typical Freshman Experience:
Students are lumped in classes with hundreds other students, so they are a number and the professor is unaccessible.
Students struggle with connection and loneliness because there is no structure to connect them.
Students question their faith because it is attacked from the classroom or campus culture, often even at Christian colleges.
Freshman quality of education suffers, because professors are forced to dumb down material to lowest common denominator.
At the Crux:
Class sizes are never more than one professor to thirteen students, and discussion-driven classrooms keep everyone engaged.
Multiple levels of community (discipleship groups, competitions, worship nights, small classes) mean every student is known.
Professors are held accountable to the Statement of Faith, and campus culture is overseen by on-campus Resident Assistants
All classes are based in Classical literature and Biblical foundations, which challenges students to think and articulate difficult concepts together.
Who is the Crux for?
Students who are serious about their faith. We are not a “fix your faith” program.
Students who can handle the reading load.
Students who want to be sharpened and pushed to go deeper.
